This summer, Cyberday is proud to launch an ambitious and inspiring project centered on deep regulatory research and international collaboration. We’ve welcomed 12 talented information security students, many of whom hold international status and are all currently studying in Finland, to join us in shaping the future of cybersecurity compliance in Europe.

Our newest team members bring energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives to one of the most important challenges in our field: understanding and operationalizing the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity regulation across Europe.

By immersing themselves in real-world scenarios, these future professionals are helping us explore how complex regulatory knowledge can be transformed into scalable, practical solutions.Through this collaboration, they’ll contribute to meaningful work that strengthens our platform and supports organizations navigating the rapidly changing regulatory environment.

This isn’t just a summer job, but a deep dive into the mechanisms shaping the future of compliance, supported by top talent, cutting-edge AI, and a shared vision of making secure digital operations accessible and achievable for all. This means diving deep into EU frameworks, standards, and regulations — and helping bring these frameworks to life through real-world application, AI tools, and advanced research. Even that Cyberday's experience team of cyber security professionals are also working with the frameworks, these talents enable delving into nuances and tackle more rare compliance cases like national industry specific regulations.

🏢 Kickoff at the Cyberday HQ

On May 22nd, our summer talents visited the Cyberday office in Tampere to kick off their project. The day began with a casual chat with our founders Ismo Paananen and Aleksi Pulkkanen, offering insights into how Cyberday got started and how the company has grown and become what it is now.

The team then explored how sales, marketing, and customer support work together to support our users. These sessions helped the talents see the full picture — how different roles and actions connect, and how their own work can support and strengthen the efforts of the whole team.

This kickoff wasn’t just about learning how the company works. It was about understanding how teamwork across teams fuels our success, and how the summer talents’ own contributions from research to AI-driven insights can power up those efforts. The message was clear: everyone at Cyberday is part of the same mission, and we move forward together.

The rest of the day was dedicated to a hands-on workshop, where the summer talents began working on ways to bring regulatory frameworks to life inside the Cyberday ISMS platform.

With support from our AI data team, the students started exploring how complex requirements can be translated into practical tasks for organizations. It was all about bridging theory and practice, transforming research into real, usable content that strengthens the everyday use of our platform.

This marked the starting point for their summer journey: making compliance easier, smarter, and more accessible through collaboration and innovation.
